Septerra Core ISO

Septerra Core: Legacy of the Creator is a computer role-playing game (CRPG) developed by Valkyrie Studios and published by Monolith Productions. The game takes an unusual approach at the genre, by using elements most commonly associated with console video games, such as the Final Fantasy series. Septerra Core's art style draws most of its inspiration from the Japanese anime genre, making use of stylised characters and fantastic landscape, combining science fiction futuristic elements with, for example, medieval concepts. That is essentially made possible due to the fact that the game is set on a fictional world composed by seven analogous layers - hence the title "Septerra" - each with unique characteristics, geography and political structure. Battles in Septerra Core implement a variant of Active Time Battle, with the only substantial difference being that the strength of the character's attacks are defined by how long the player allows the time gauge of said character to be charged. Other notable features include fully recorded dialogue, CGI cutscenes and a flexible magic system based on cards similar to those of Tarot. Professional voice actors supplied the voices for the main characters while Valkyrie employees and friends voiced the minor characters.

In the center of Septerra lies the Core, a giant Biocomputer. Seven continents, each with it's own unique population and cultures, turn around the core on different levels.

Shadow of Destiny ISO

Shadow of Destiny was originally released for the PlayStation 2 in Japan last year, and it was later localized for US PlayStation 2 owners with full English speech. Still, it seems much better suited to the PC adventure game genre. It has all the necessary components: a hapless protagonist investigating a mystery, inventory-based puzzles, a moderately complex story that unfolds over the course of the game, and no standard way for your character to permanently die (though there are a few ways to lose the game outright). Shadow of Destiny tells the story of Eike (pronounced "Ike"), a student who is murdered without warning while wandering the streets of his hometown one day and is then brought back to life by an enigmatic spirit who gives him the ability to travel through time. Eike must use this ability to visit four different time periods in a quest to prevent his own murder and uncover the motives of his mysterious assailant.

Nostradamus: The Last Prophecy

Care for a murder mystery? Set in Renaissance France? With a strong female protagonist who uses the science of that era to pursue the murderer? Throw in a twisty plot, clever clues, and well integrated puzzles. And out of this recipe you have -- Nostradamus: The Last Prophecy.

Okay, where does Nostradamus fit in?

The year is 1566. A string of unsolved murders has followed Queen Mother Catherine de Médicis to Salon de Provence. In this small French town, Catherine is seeking advice from a friend and counselor -- the famous Nostradamus. A prophecy has surfaced that fits the pattern of the murders. It points to an all but unavoidable tragedy to befall the royal family.

Nostradamus is too ill to begin an investigation himself. But he offers Catherine the services of his son, César. The only drawback is that, unbeknownst to anyone else, César is hundreds of miles away. Nostradamus secretly plans to disguise his daughter Madeleine as César and allow Madeleine to conduct the investigation.

This element of disguise, along with the game's emphasis on character and dialog, made me feel as though I was playing an interactive historical drama.

Sinking Island

When the billionaire owner of an island hotel is murdered, it's up to private investigator Jack Norm to discover which of the ten suspects is responsible in this...

Benoit Sokal does it again in Sinking Island! like a mixture between CSI and Syberia! you play detective Jack Norm, and you have been sent to solve the murder of Billionaire Walter Jones, who is found dead in his wheel chair on the beach near his Hotel.

The game is played in the Point & Click style, the same as such classics as Broken Sword and Syberia, the look of the game is your typical animated/static backgrounds with integrated 3D character models.

The voice acting could have used some work in this game though, also Jacks movements culd have been varied, he generally waved his arms all over the place when you are questioning someone, but it's not enough to make you stop wanting to play, as the story keeps you interested.

One thing that could have been added to the game is a map where you could pick a location and go there instantly, as there is alot of running around in the game which can get abit tedious!
